While I'm still awake (and in NYC again)...



I just got off the train from a party at Adrian Tomine's where he tipped me off to this upcoming Brooklyn event. Optic Nerve 11 is the final installment of his trilogy which not-so-coincidentally follows the main character from the Bay Area to New York. He says there's going to be a nicely-bound book out soon after that will include all three stories, but that this mini-comic is for people who don't care so much for a fancy collected version. Aside from that, if you go on March 31st, you'll get to see Adrian with a full beard, the first I've ever witnessed on him. It makes him look scholarly, in a 1970s nuclear physicist kind of way.

A friend of mine came across this photo site.

My friend writes: "He spends so much of his time walking around and taking pictures of unwitting Asian (and all other kinds of) girls. He has other pictures of women pushing strollers that he titles MILF. Wouldn’t you be pissed if you were in one of his pictures with keywords like: Asian girl pretty street braless?"

I have a few theories on this dude:
1) He spends a lot of time memorizing porn genres.
2) He is afraid to talk to girls.
3) He is a 13-year-old boy from a provincial town who just moved to NYC and lost his nut.
